This week we continue our introductions for our regular studio hirers! JDStudio is such a hive of activity that you could come here every day and still not know everyone! Today we sat down with Charlotte from Charlotte’s School of Dance to introduce herself, her classes and to tell us a bit about the studio! Hiya! Would you mind introducing yourself to our readers?
My name is Charlotte and I have danced for over 20 years doing ballet, tap, modern theatre, national, jazz, street, musical theatre and contemporary. I started Charlotte's School of Dance over 4 years ago because I enjoy sharing my passion for dance with others. Great to meet you Charlotte! Can you tell us a fun fact about you? I have never broken a bone despite being in a horrific car crash and being a bit clumsy! That’s good to hear! Fingers crossed it stays that way! Do you have any hobbies outside of dance? I go to boogie bounce classes every week and have turned into a bounce addict (as Tracey would say) You can hear more about boogie bounce from Tracey in our earlier blog! Now for the quickfire questions! Do you have any pets? I have a little doggie who is like my baby! She's naughty and rules the house because she's so cute. Favourite music? I love cheesy music that I can sing along to. Anything pop or musical gets my vote. Favourite Food? My favourite food is probably pizza - not the best choice for trying to eat healthily. Ohh yummy! Who doesn’t love pizza! Right, back to business! What does Charlotte’s School of Dance offer? Charlotte's School of Dance offers fun and friendly ballet and tap classes at Julie's. Students are welcome to come along purely for fun, fitness and to meet new friends in a safe and welcoming environment. However, we also offer opportunities for students to participate in various performances, charity events and exams throughout the year, if they desire. Awesome! Who are the classes aimed at? At the moment children age 2 to 9 come to our classes and we are always expanding. And why choose Charlotte’s School of Dance? We are one of the only if the only pay as you go ballet and tap classes in the area and we ensure our classes are super fun and enjoyable. Also, your first session with us is free so no excuses not to come and try us out. Fantastic! Sounds like a great opportunity for the kids! What made you choose Julie’s Dance as a location for your classes? Julie helped me start out from nothing and has supported me the whole way.I've been coming here for over 4 years now. Aww sweet! What do you think sets JDStudio apart from other places? I love the family feel of the studio and love that my students have the opportunity to learn lots of different styles of dance under one roof! I love that the studio is open to loads of different dance schools! It means I get to meet other dance teachers and share stories, costumes and advice. Can you tell us a fun story about your times at the studio? Every week there is is laughter and giggles! That's why I love my job! Any messages for our readers? Watch this space because we will hopefully be offering musical theatre classes in the near future! Like our page on Facebook for more info about us!
