It's time for the cheesy highlights of the series... You know, the episode where instead of finishing the series off with the finale they do an extra "catch-up" episode so that you can re-live the events that have happened throughout the series? Yeah... We are doing one of those... All of the girls have worked really hard to prepare for the competition so no matter what the results tomorrow they should all be proud of themselves! Even if Lexi's predictions from the Halloween blog post come true and ladybird-related drama ensues, we have had lots of fun preparing for this competition and blogging about our experiences! So here we are folks, the end of Emily's montage obsession culminates in a seven-part saga. Enjoy! xx
Because we are halfway there.... We have been dutifully blogging for half of the run up to the competition! Let's see how everyone is getting on now that we have passed the halfway checkpoint!
Five weeks into the preparations for the competition and the time is just flying by! Even though two out of five of the girls were away this week they still managed to get in a bit of time for some comp-prep action! We have had planking, stretching and even a little tree-acro from our girls abroad! As for the rest of us... Well... I think the video below speaks for itself!
This week we have asked to hear from family and friends about what it is like to support someone through the competition process, how they feel about thier competitors and thier involvement!
Each of the girls has a dedicated support network and reading through the comments, it is lovely to see just how proud our family and friends are!
To support the girls in the comp don't forget to buy tickets at
This weeks video montage includes clips from some of the pole artists mentioned in the girl's blog from friday as well as a couple of the images that gave us the inspiration to try new moves!
What inspires us to get off the sofa and hang upside down on a bit of metal? Who do we look up to and what do we aspire to achieve? This week we have asked the girls to tell us about where they find the inspiration for their routines, whether it be music, people, movies, lobsters, theatre, instagram, nature... Wherever the flash of pole genius may come from!
Monday montage come early! Our video this week showcases the variety of music, dance and costume that we have discussed in our blog posts. All the girls are looking forward to getting back in the studio and getting started on our routines!
Between the five of us we have certainly had some varied themes for our routines! This week we asked the girls to tell us about the process they go through when deciding on music and costume to use for a competition entry! For some it seems that theme is half the battle and if not done right can mean the difference between succeeding at a competition and a routine falling flat. Even if your pole moves are on point, if there is no theme, costume or dramatic flair to the performance then it becomes more difficult for the judges and the audience to connect. Let's hear what the girls have got to say around the subject...
It's montage Monday!! This week has seen the girls fend for themselves (almost) whilst the studio is closed for the holidays. This hasn't stopped them from working hard to stay fit!
If you missed Friday's post scroll on down to find out just how much they have been training! As always any comments/questions are welcome!
This week we have asked the girls to tell us a bit about the how. A lot of people see the product of the hard work that we put in without seeing any of the fun and effort that goes into it! One thing that we hear a lot when we show people pictures or videos is “I don’t know how you do it!”
Hopefully today’s entries will give everyone a bit of an insight into just how much (or little!) we commit, what we do, when we do it and how we feel about the training in the run up to the competition.
