The next hirer in our little series of introductions is Caroline Payne from Maraca Jacks Music Workshop! Read on below to find out more! Hi Caroline, let’s start by getting to know a bit about you! Tell us a fun fact! I like to sing in the bath, loudly! Brilliant! How about hobbies outside of Maraca Jacks? I've recently taken up running and am challenging myself to do a 10k shortly in aid of charity Yikes! That sounds like a lot of hard work! After all that training, what is your favourite food? Mexican Now that I agree with! Mexican food is the best! How about music? What is your favourite? Anything but R&B, hip hop and a bit of rock! Fab! Now that we know a bit about you, let’s hear some more about Maraca Jacks! What do you offer? Baby and toddler music classes for under fives. Mums, dads, childminders and carers, anyone looking after a little one! What are the benefits? Music in the early years is an important life development skill as it wires the brain together for later learning and can greatly benefit speech, language, number skills and children's motor skills through rhythm, patterns and play. From birth to 3, the brain is engaging and absorbing the world around and that's when we can capture your child's memory the most making them remember and retain for later on when learning maths, handwriting and language. We aim to teach the three C's - communication, co-ordination and confidence! WOW! That’s great for the kids! I bet the parents have a good time too! Now, moving back to Julie’s Dance Studio… Why did you choose JDStudio for the classes? It's a fantastic space central to Sholing so easy to find. We've had groups here since September 2016. What sets Julie’s Dance Studio apart from other venues? The space, not many halls would be able to accommodate buggies and car parking, but the studio can. It's clean, bright and well maintained. That’s so good to hear! Can you tell us a fun story that happened at the studio? We have fun every week! the babies especially love the sensory equipment and one particular week, we turned off the lights and had lots of disco/fairy lights which amazed and enthralled the little ones! Awww sweet!! Any thanks/messages! Thank you to Julie for making me feel so welcome, she always has a smile and a welcome to our customers. Thank you so much for talking to us today! Any last messages to our lovely blog readers? So this is us, Maraca Jacks! We're waiting to meet you, classes start from just £3 per week for babies, £4 per week for toddlers. We don't ask for any commitment but we would love you to attend on a regular basis as these children show most growth and promise from weekly play. Come and give us a try soon.
